I Don’t Know If I Have Google Tag Manager

Complete guide to creating, verifying, and setting up Google Ads for law firms with compliance requirements.

🔍 Option 1: Check the Website Source Code

  1. Go to your website in your browser.
  1. Right-click and select View Page Source.
  1. Use Ctrl + F (or ⌘ + F) and search for:
      • GTM-XXXXXXX
      • googletagmanager.com

If you find code like GTM-XXXXXXX or see a script from googletagmanager.com, then GTM is installed.

🔍 Option 2: Use a Browser Extension

  1. Install Google Tag Assistant (by Google) or Wappalyzer.
  1. Visit your website.
  1. The extension will tell you if Google Tag Manager is active.

🔍 Option 3: Ask Your Developer or Marketing Team

Your web developer or marketing agency may have set it up for tracking, analytics, or pixels. Ask them directly if you’re unsure.
